Sharon Palmer is a registered dietitian who earns her living as a freelance writer. She graduated from Loma Linda University and her career focused on food and nutrition management in a healthcare setting for 16 years, during which time she provided nutritional counseling for a variety of patients and managed food service departments.
In 2000, however, Sharon broke into freelance writing by employing her experience in food and nutrition to write for a number of publications. Since then she has written on a wide variety of topics, from food and nutrition to cooking, wine, restaurant reviews, and even such topics as education, sports, travel and more.
Over 400 of Sharon's features have been published in publications such as the LA Times, Food and Fitness Advisor, and Today’s Dietitian, to just name a few.
