Ann Litt Interview

Ann Litt, MS, RD, LD is a nutritionist in private practice in the Washington DC area. Her specialty is helping children, teens and young adults develop normal eating habits and maintain healthy weight. Ann was a pioneer in private practice in the days she started her business, so she has a lot of wisdom to share.

Ann is the author of several books, including The College Guide to Eating Well on Campus, Fuel for Young Athletes, and the American Dietetic Association Guide to Private Practice. She has also co-written the Be Your Own Boss Starter Kit for RD’s who are starting a private practice and wonder where to get all the necessary forms.

In addition to her private practice, Ann is the nutritionist for the Washington Redskins. Be sure to listen to this month’s interview to hear Ann’s advice to other RD’s who are thinking about private practice and to learn some of the things Ann learned, herself, along the way.

Theresa Stahl Interview

Theresa Stahl, RD, LDN has over 20 years of nutrition experience in a
wide variety of settings. Four years ago, she returned to full-time work
after 15 years of part-time private practice while raising two children.
She currently combines her private practice with her career as a
clinical dietitian and medical nutrition therapist for a behavioral health facility,
two alcohol and drug rehab programs, and a home for severely developmentally
disabled adults. She is a Medical Advisor for Nubella.com, a health and
nutrition website, and writes weekly “Nutrition Notes” for their e-newsletter.
Theresa is a certified alternative yoga instructor (PraiseMoves) and serves on
the nutrition faculty at Potomac State College of West Virginia University.
I particularly invited Theresa to be this month’s Professional because she
represents what many RD’s do, which is combine a paying job with her
own private practice. As you can tell, Theresa likes to do it all!
Be sure to listen to her words of wisdom she has to share after an extensive
career that has led her to fulfillment and excitement with what the
future still brings.
