Joe Cannon

This month’s Professional of the Month is our first fitness professional, Joe Cannon. Joe is an exercise physiologist, personal trainer, author and lecturer. He holds an MS degree in Exercise Science and a BS degree in Chemistry and Biology. He is doubly certified by the National Strength and conditioning Association (NSCA) as both a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and as a personal trainer.

For over ten years, Joe has lectured about exercise, personal training, dietary supplements and sports nutrition and trains personal trainers through many of the certification seminars he conducts each year.

Joe is the author of 3 books, including Nutritional Supplements: What Works and Why. A Review from A to Zinc and Beyond and Nutrition Essentials: A Guidebook for the Fitness Professional, and has written for several publications including, the Journal of Strength and Conditioning, Today's Dietitian, Fitness Management and Weightwatchers.com and has been a content consultant for the TV News program, Dateline NBC.
