Billy Corbett, CSCS

This month’s professional is physical conditioning coach and personal trainer Billy Corbett. Billy is the owner of RetroFit PT, a personal training center in Denver, Colorado, where he and his team of trainers work with individual clients and local sports teams. He is also the conditioning coach for Team 190 club lacrosse and is the content editor for PTOntheNET, the largest online personal training educational resource in the world.

Billy graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland with a degree in sports management and is currently working towards his master’s degree in sports medicine and has multiple certifications, including his CSCS through NSCA.

Billy is known as a lacrosse fitness training expert and regularly speaks at the national lacrosse conference, as well as many local venues on conditioning for young athletes and he attended the 2002 Olympics as a conditioning coach.

All trainers who are interested in starting up their own business are encouraged to listen to Billy’s words of advice and wisdom. Although there were many great tips, probably one that is of most importance is to be sure to create a roadmap that plans out your road to success.
