Ellen Albertson, M.S., R.D., LDN, CPT

With more than 15 years experience as a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Nutritionist, Master Trainer, Wellcoaches Licensed Corporate WellCoach and journalist, Ellen Albertson is an expert on food, health and wellness. She provides consulting, counseling and personal training services to fitness centers, corporations and private clients and lectures widely on nutrition, wellness and physical fitness with particular emphasis on healthy eating and creative cheating for a well-balanced body and psyche.

Ellen has written for many publications including: Self, Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Women’s Day, The New York Daily News, Environmental Nutrition, Taste for Life, Natural Health and the Boston Herald. She has appeared as a guest expert on dozens of major market and local TV shows including: Extra, Maury Povitch, Food Network, ABC World News and Fox’s Good Morning N.Y. For five years as half of The Cooking Couple™, Ellen co-hosted a nationally syndicated radio show focusing on health, food and nutrition. She is also the co-author of Food as Foreplay: Recipes for Romance, Love and Lust (Alexandria Press) and Temptations: Igniting the Pleasure and Power of Aphrodisiacs (Simon and Schuster). She is currently the nutrition expert for Men's Health Personal Trainer, The Abs Diet Online, and Celebrity Fit Club.

A member of the American Dietetic Association, Ellen serves on the Nutritionists in Complementary Care; Nutrition Entrepreneurs and Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists practice group. She holds a Master of Science in Nutrition Communications from Boston University’s Sargent College of Allied Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Ellen is a NASM/NCSF-Certified Personal Trainer with a Certification in Weight Loss Management from the American Dietetic Association and Advanced Certification in Personal Training from FRA. She is currently a PhD student in Media Psychology at Fielding Graduate University.

An experienced speaker and public presenter, Ellen has represented numerous products and organizations including: CorningWare, Dunkin’ Donuts, Glen Ellen, Shady Brook Farms, Fitcorp and The American Red Cross.
